Auctions Imperial winter sale is being held November 25th. As always, the catalogue is filled with a deep selection of Islamic, Indo-Persian, Caucasian and other eastern arms as well as more mainstream collectible arms and armour.  There is a very wide selection of shamshirs, among them a very fine Persian Safavid example.  Oher edged weapons include a good Polish Karabela, a French combination hunting sword pistol, poluwars  and kard, khanjar, and hancer daggers.

Among the early European lots is are a two-handed sword, rapiers and broadswords, several early helms and a very attractive fill suit of black and white armour, pictured.

Firearms in the sale include a fine pair of Greek Kompoura pistols with belt and holsters, a pair of silver mounted ottoman Kubur pistols, and Albanian tancchika musket, a pair of Italian flintlock pistols. A tapancha miquelet pistol and a Colt 1849 rocket pistol.



AMOSKEAG AUCTION, FINE ARMS, NOV 18TH

A rare Colt Berdan Russian Carine is one of the scarcer lots being offered by Amoskeag on November 18th.  The sale includes a range  of derisible lots including a rare factory engraved Whitney rifle, a Cot Burgess rifle, a super engraved and gold inlaid S&W single action army.

Military guns include a Mauser Broomhandle, one with holster stock, a large selection of lugers, Garand’s,,  a Russian SVT-40’l and a range of other WWII rifles and pistols. Among the many antique guns are a cased Colt first model dragoon and a British Georgian sea service pistol. 



SAN GIORGIO ASTE, ANTIQUE ARMS AND MILITARIA, OCTOBER 24th

San Giorgio Aste’s next auction, is an online sale finishing October 23rd.   The sale includes two  a fine pair of cased  English Greener shotguns,  a cased pair of Italian pocket or traveling percussion pistols,  a flintlock eprouvette, an English pistol by Richards with spring bayonet and a Blunderbuss also by Richards with spring bayonet.

More affordable lots in the sale include Italian, French and British military muskets and pistols as well as swords, military badges and uniform pieces.

SKINNER, HISTORIC ARMS AND MILITARIA, OCT 26th

A 1st DC Cavalry Henry Rifle Captured by Confederate General Wade Hampton carries the highest estimate of $150,000 - $200,000 in Skinners Historic Arms and Militaria sale of October 26th. The sale also includes presentation swords, revolutionary war arms, a model 1875 U.S. trapdoor officer's rifle, an identified civil war surgeon’s kit, historical grouping and a pair of Woodward shotguns. Documents, awards and ephemera also are included in the sale.
