HERMANN HISTORICA'S FALL SALES, ARMS, ARMOUR & HISTORICAL COLLECTIBLES, OCT 24TH - NOV 5TH

Hermann Historica ‘s Fall sale includes five catalogues which span millennia of military and political history. Among the five sales are days dedicated to antiquities, antique and modern firearms, historical collectibles to 1918, German historical collectibles post 1918 and this year, a special catalogue for Wehrmacht technical equipment.

One of the more visually dramatic lots on antique arms is the combination Wheelock axe, made in Nuremberg circa 1580. It has a starting price of 28000 Euro. Other antique arms offered include a flintlock boar hunting carbine circa 1740 for Carl VII, a cased pair of percussion shotguns for the Duke of Cambridge, a fine stonebow dated 1689, a two shot all steel wheellock pistol and a three shot wheelock carbine.

Japanese swords and amour are well represented as are European and indo Persian edged weapons. Modern Guns include a Mauser C96 carbine and several fine drillings. Clickon the image for a link to the catalogues.



RARE FIREARMS AT SWISS TACTICAL CENTER AUCTION, Oct 22nd

After a  successful Spring auction in which both Swiss and world records were achieved; Swiss Tactical Center Auctions  is offering further sought-after firearms at their upcoming October 22nd Modern Weapons Sale.  Among the highlights are a very rare SIG P210-8, a number of rare Swiss Ordnance revolver including prototypes, pictured, and a seldom seen Swiss "Kurzgewehr" (Short Rifle) Mod.1898/1900. The sale includes more than 600 objects and also contains a number of contemporary and moderately estimated firearms, as well as weapons literature, and militaria.  The sale is on liveauctioneers. AUKTIONSVERK STOCKHOLM ONLINE SALE CLOSING OCT 13TH

Auktionsverk’s online miltaria sale includes arms from a wide variety of nations and cultural contexts. Swedish, British, American, Indo-Persian, Japanese, and Ottoman arms are among those offered. Pictured is a 16th century two handed sword with Passau wolf and orb mark.  Other swords include a jewel encrusted shamshir, Swedish cavalry swords and a French naval cutlass.
           
Several pairs of flintlock and percussion pistols are offered among them a silver mounted pair of brass barrel pistols by Nicholson London as well as Swedish examples and single Ottoman and American examples. A Wheelock pistol with inlay will also cross the block.  The sale also includes modern custom knives, defensive armour, military headgear and cannon.



SAN GIORGIO ASTE, ANTIQUE ARMS AND MILITARIA ONLINE, OCT 12th

San Giorgio’s October online sale includes many affordable lots. Among the British flintlock pistols are a pair of martial style pistols by Forrest, as well as a ducksfoot 4 barreled example  by Henley and a blunderbuss pistol with foldout bayonet by Blanch.  Percussion arms include antique Colt and Remington revolvers.  In the selection of antique military long arms are a British  3rd brown bess in super condition and a tower percussion carbine also in prime state.  A selection of flintlock tinderlighters is also included.

In addition to firearms there are many polearms in the sale as well as a rake elephant goad, Ankus. Edged weapons offered include a Polish karablela and a hussars sabre and a selection of military sword and daggers..
