Morphy’s are holding the 250^th Anniversary of the Revolution sale on May 12^th. The second day of the sale includes a range of historic guns with revolutionary associations, presenting collectors with a rare opportunity to acquire documented and highly desirable pieces. Leading the auction is an important published Ohio Company of Virginia Treaty musket, subsequently owned by Virginia militia soldier William Field, circa 1754. With estimate of $50,000–$100,000, this musket represents a cornerstone artifact of early colonial conflict and frontier diplomacy.

Lots with historical associations include a 9th Regiment of Foot-marked Dublin Castle Short Land Pattern musket captured at the Battle of Saratoga, $25,000-45,000, and a rare Pattern 1730/40 musket attributed to capture at the Battle of White Plains. Revolutionary War material is further anchored by a documented Lafayette shipment French Model 1774 musket bearing “U. STATES” markings, alongside a British 26-hole cartridge box exhibited at the Museum of the American Revolution. Equally compelling is the Royal Navy 1780 Pattern Tower flintlock Nock seven-barrel volley gun, a scarce and iconic naval arm estimated at $28,000–$38,000.

Early American arms are represented by a signed Johnson New England flintlock fowler and a fine Kentucky pistol by P & D Moll of Hellerstown. Later 19th-century highlights include multiple desirable Bullard rifles, including a deluxe small frame two-barrel set and a Model 1886 large frame lever action, as well as a U.S. Springfield Model 1875 Officer’s Trapdoor rifle and a U.S. Model 1805 Harpers Ferry pistol.

The first and third days include a spectacular offering of military and sporting arms, underscoring the auction’s breadth and appeal across collecting categories.

Alderfer Auction are holding a firearms sale, presenting a diverse array of antique, sporting, and collectible arms alongside high-grade optics on April 28th. The handgun selection offered is notably comprehensive, featuring modern and classic designs. Highlights include the Beretta M9A3, Smith & Wesson 29-3, and a  US Remington Rand 1911A1 US Army. Collectors will also find desirable examples such as the, Kimber Custom TLE/RL II, a Ruger Blackhawk, a Colt Combat Elite, and an Antique C. Sharps First Model Pepperbox.

Shotgun offerings span both field and fine-grade examples. Of particular interest is the Browning Grade 6 Citori Over/Under accompanied by a complete set of sub-gauge inserts. Additional entries include the Beretta BL-3 O/U, as well as dependable classics such as the Remington 870, Mossberg 500, Ithaca 37, and Stevens 311 Side-by-Side.

The rifle catalog is equally impressive, encompassing military, sporting, and rare collector pieces. Noteworthy entries include the Springfield M1A, Swiss K31, Winchester 70 Classic, and US Springfield M1 Garand. Rarities such as the Lakeside Machine BF1 Vindicator belt-fed semi-automatic and the IBM Corp M1 Carbine Paratrooper are expected to draw significant attention as are a rnage of WWII German arms.

Lock, Stock & Barrel Investments will host a three-day premier firearms and militaria auction beginning May 1st, featuring an exceptional selection of historic and high-grade collectible arms. Leading the sale is the pictured Lot 3127, a highly desirable Henry rifle, one of the most iconic repeating firearms of the 19th century and a cornerstone of advanced American collections. It is joined by several rare U.S. martial antiques, including multiple Early Type 2 Springfield Armory Model 1875 Trapdoor Officer’s rifles, each prized for their limited production and historical importance. Also crossing the block is a Colt Model 1873 Cavalry Single Action Army revolver with New York militia markings, alongside a superb cased and factory engraved Colt 3rd Model Dragoon percussion revolver dating to 1856, with top estimates reaching $25,000.

The catalog further includes an impressive range of fine sporting and modern firearms. Among the highlights is a beautifully engraved Perazzi MX20 over-and-under shotgun, crafted in 2023 and finished to an exceptional standard, as well as a cased Heym Express bolt-action rifle chambered in .375 H&H Magnum, built for dangerous game hunting. A particularly notable offering is the U.S. Ordnance semi-automatic Browning M2 .50 BMG, complete with tripod and accessories, representing a rare opportunity to acquire an iconic heavy weapon in civilian-legal configuration. These lots underscore the sale’s balance between historic significance and modern craftsmanship.

Complementing the firearms is a select group of fine edged weapons and early artifacts. Of special note is a rare 1930s William Scagel custom hunting knife with stag handle and integrated folder, presented with sheath and trophy box, and carrying a broad estimate reflecting its desirability among collectors. Additionally, a remarkable pair of Revolutionary War-era flintlock pistols, inscribed to Captain James Leach, offers a tangible connection to early American history. With starting bids at zero across all lots, the sale is expected to generate competitive bidding throughout its three-day run.
