Rock island premiere fall sale includes several prominent collections, among them those of Rbert M. Lee, Vernon Bering and the Putnam Green/Scyamore collection. Winchesters are well represednedt in the sale and one of the more desireable examples pictured above is the engraved model 1895 presented by Buffalo Bill Cody to Ny state Senator Fred Kavanaugh. There are 400 Winchesters in the sale. Classic Colts include a cased set of 1851 engraved sqaurebacks.
European Guns include a pair of dueling pistols by Boutet, a fine Gastine Rennet hunting rifle, and ivory stocked Dutch Wender Pistols. Among the non-firearm lots in the sale is a D-Day flag from Gold beach.
