In addition to their upcoming 2-day sale Centurion auctions are holding a fine militaria sale at the end of the month. Top lots in the scale include the Japanese sword pictured. Carrying an estimate of $10-15000 this 14th C. Nanbokucho period example is by Tokubetsu Hozon Token of the Tegai School.
The sale includes may American military and custom fighting knives including a scarce WWII M.H. Cole 9-point knuckle fighting knife. Only 50-75 examples of the Cole 9-point knuckles are known. Among the other examples offered are an Al Mar and William Harsey collaboration Shiva fighter knife, 1 of 40 made, and a WWII US Warther made fighting knife. Named to Lt. L. E. Casner on one grip, with his service number 0-1183484 on the other. Also in the sale, are rare swords, dress daggers and bayonets. Click on the image for a link to the catalog.
