ANTIVITY PRAHA: ANTIQUE ARMS TECHNOLOGY AND FINE ARTS. Dec 6th

Antikvity Praha's next auction on Dec 6th includes an attractive selection of collectible antique arms. Among the highly collectible edged weapons are a German combined hunting sword and flintlock pistol, several presentation quality Austro Hungarian gift sabres in silver mountings, one in a fine leather case, a very rare Hungarian M54 cavalry officers sabre, and an English M 1827 naval pipeback sword in case with presentation inscription. A Bavarian officers sabre from the reign of Maximillian Josph will cross the block as will as fine shamshir in silver gilt mounts.
Pistols offered include a cased Remington Rider pistol. Other cased revolvers including a Morres front loading revolver, a pinfire gun cased with dagger by Bayer Freres, and a very rare Maynard primed revolver. Other rare handguns include a breech loading single shot by William Walker Marston and three examples of English swivel quad barrel flintlock guns. A good selection of Cased target percussion pistols are offered. Among the long guns are an Italian Naval flintlock blunderbuss and rage of fine sporting guns, wheellock, flintlock percussion and contemporary examples. Click on the image for a link to the sale.
