Probus Auktion in Stockholm are holding their winter antique arms sale on November 17^th. Among the fine early firearms offered is the pair of flintlock breech-loading pistols C. 1680 by Lamarre in Vienna. Other fine pistols include a Swedish pair by Anders Sjoberg that we made for the future King Charles Johan, an early Dutch pair of flintlock pistols with brass locks, a very attractive pair of silver-mounted and gold decorated Greek or Ottoman miquelet pistols as well as several cased English revolvers. American examples including a Colt Army revolver are also offered.

Also among the lots crossing the block, are fine edged weapons form around the works including a rare Swedish naval presentation sword, one of several Swedish military sidearms, a mid-17^th C. Swedish broadsword, three fine Ottoman and Balkan yataghans, a Saxon miner’s axe and a selection of fine smallswords. Among other lots in the sale are a fine flintlock double sporting gun by Robsahm in Stockholm dated 1808, a Viennese flintlock rifle by Ris, eastern sword in including Shamshirs, Kindjals and Kilic, Indo-Persian and Ottomans armour a well as a selection of orders and militaria.
