A Turnbull restored Winchester model 1866 with Cody letter is one of the many fine examples of lever action Winchesters offered in Alderfer’s 2-day firearms and militaria sale starting on Oct 28^th. The sale includes a wide selection of fine sporting & military guns. Include in the former category are a Winchester model 1894 carbines and rifles, several 1866 saddle ring carbines, model 71’s and a Winchester 1886 deluxe takedown rifle. Among the other sporting arms offered is an Ithaca SKB model 280 side by side in 20 GA. Civil war guns in the catalog include a rare Green’s patent bolt action percussion rifle and A spencer 1860 carbine. A separate catalog on October 28^th focuses on ammunition and collectible ammunition boxes and a third catalog on the 29^th includes firearms accessories and taxidermy.
