Antikvity Praha's next auction features an exceptional selection of antique arms. Headlining the sale is a late 17th-century Austrian silver-mounted presentation sabre with fitted case, estimated between €22,000 and €30,000. Other notable edged weapons include a late 19th-century Austro-Hungarian presentation sabre with an earlier blade and a Pappenheimer rapier.
The auction also boasts many early firearms, such as a remarkable South German sporting Wheelock rifle, a striking Baby Le Mat two-barreled centerfire pistol, and a rare factory-engraved Volcanic pistol (Smith & Wesson No. 2) with an iron frame.
A wide range of flintlock pistols is available, including a pair by Hans Perztman of Freistadt, a pair of officer's pistols by Nicolas Noël Boutet, a pair of late 18th-century French silver-mounted naval flintlock pistols by Royet Frères, and a pair of Belgian silver-mounted flintlock pistols by H. Meunier (mentioned in Liège in 1764). Also featured is a cased pair of flintlock pistols by Pierre-Nicolas Boutet, made in Versailles.

While warming up for the December Premiere Auction, Rock island continues to hold arms and accessory sales that include many desirable and scarce lots such as the French Manhurin MR73 .357 in the November 6th sale. Poulin's 4-day sale starts Oct 31st and incide many choice collector lots such as the pictured DMW C93 Borchardt.
